In very good company and surrounded by other exciting research work and projects, I am showing Tribute to Work. Starting point is the empty plinth on the Place de l'Insurrection d'Août 1944, in the Ivry-Port district. The research was carried out with the valuable help of the Municipal Archives of Ivry-sur-Seine and the team of the Fernand Léger Gallery. With the kind participation of a turtle, a Minoan visitor, Miss Lara Croft and other guests of honour.
The Public Art Triennial aims to promote research and preliminary studies of works (in the form of drawings, models, volumes, photographs, etc.) in relation to the territory.
This exhibition presents the creative process of commissioning artwork in urban space. It brings together the projects of 10 artists selected following a call for applications as well as a choice of studies from the national commission for temporary and reactivable works for public space, from the Centre National des Arts Plastiques (CNAP).

En très bonne compagnie et entouré d'autres recherches et projets passionnants, j'y montre Hommage au Travail, à partir du socle vide sur la place de l'Insurrection d'Août 1944, dans le quartier d'Ivry-Port. Les recherches ont été menées avec l'aide précieuse des Archives municipales d'Ivry-sur-Seine et de l'équipe de la Galerie Fernand Léger. Avec l'aimable participation d'une tortue, d'un visiteur minoen, de Miss Lara Croft et d'autres invités d'honneur.
La Triennale Art Public a pour but de valoriser les recherches et études préliminaires aux œuvres (sous forme de dessins, maquettes, volumes, photographies, etc.) en relation avec le territoire.
Cette exposition présente le processus créatif de la commande d'œuvre d'art dans l'espace urbain. Elle regroupe les projets de 10 artistes sélectionnés suite à un appel à candidature ainsi qu'un choix d'études de la commande nationale d'œuvres temporaires et réactivables pour l'espace public, du Centre national des arts plastiques (CNAP).

The Right to Be Lazy by Paul Lafargue in an edition from the 1930s, a glass of absynthe and the currency of the Vichy regime stamped with Work, Family, Homeland, the words that had replaced the republican motto Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.

The Child with the Helmet, Ivry, July 2024. During a first visit to the sculpture storage and workshop of the City of Paris (COARC - Conservatory of Religious and Civil Works of Paris), we came across this plaster sculpture, prepared for bronze casting. A chilling scene: the little kid, tenderly surrounded by his parents, is wearing a helmet — as if he was preparing to go to war…

Lors d'un repérage à l'atelier-réserve de sculptures de la Ville de Paris (COARC - Conservatoire des œuvres d'art religieuses et civiles de Paris), nous tombons sur cette sculpture en plâtre, préparée pour le moulage en bronze. La scène fait froid dans le dos : le petit gamin, tendrement entouré de ses parents, porte un casque — comme s'il s'apprêtait à partir à la guerre…

The Vitruvian Man

In my 2^nd year course on Body and Space at the architecture school ENSAPLV, I proposed this year as a reference and common thread the drawing by Leonardo da Vinci The Vitruvian Man.
Inspired by this iconic image, the students raised questions about canons of beauty and norms, natural and constructed environment, identity and gender, communication and power relations.
I invited my students to “enter the picture” and to physically confront themselves with this ideal of the human being, on the scale of 1:1, by embodying it. In this photo shoot in December 2022 participated, in alphabetical order: Clément, Ebru, Éloïse, Étienne, Jakob, Joséphine, Joy, Lorenzo, Lucile, Mathis, Maylis, Mayssa, Merdy, Pierre, Sarra and Thémis.
A set of works of this course has been presented at the ENSAPLV open house on February 4, 2023.

Dans mon cours de 2^e année sur Le corps et l'espace à l'école d'architecture ENSAPLV, j'ai proposé cette année comme référence et fil conducteur le dessin de Leonardo da Vinci l'Homme de Vitruve.
Les étudiants se sont inspirés de cette image emblématique, pour poser des questions sur les canons de beauté et les normes, l'environnement naturel et construit, l'identité et le genre, la communication et les rapports de force.
J'ai invité mes étudiants à « entrer dans l'image » et à se confronter physiquement à cet idéal de l'être humain, à l'échelle 1, en l'incarnant. À cette séance photo en décembre 2022 ont participé, par ordre alphabétique : Clément, Ebru, Éloïse, Étienne, Jakob, Joséphine, Joy, Lorenzo, Lucile, Mathis, Maylis, Mayssa, Merdy, Pierre, Sarra et Thémis.
Un ensemble de travaux de ce cours a été présenté aux portes ouvertes de l'ENSAPLV, le 4 février 2023.

La Colombe est aussi présentée à Bannières d'artistes à St.-Gengoux-le-National, Bourgogne, été 2022, exposition en plein air sur initiative d'Anne et Max Lanci.
Guerre et Paix est montré en 2023 dans l'exposition évolutive Zukunftswerkstatt Frieden (Atelier sur le futur de la paix), au Kunst-Quartier Osnabrück, Allemagne, à l'occasion des 375 ans du traité de paix de Westphalie, sur invitation de Jens Raddatz, et dans l'exposition Legt die Waffen nieder auf... à la Rathausgalerie Steyr, Autriche, curateur Johannes Angerbauer.

Peace.
An illusion? A decoy? A trophy? The chronicle of a death foretold?
Will it resurrect ?

War and Peace ist shown in 2023 in the evolutive exhibition Zukunftswerkstatt Frieden (Workshop about the Future of Peace), at the Kunst-Quartier Osnabrück, on the occasion of the 375 years of the Peace Treaty of Westphalia, at the invitation of Jens Raddatz, and at the exhibition Legt die Waffen nieder auf... at the Rathausgalerie Steyr, Austria, curator Johannes Angerbauer.
