Funerary Stele
Projection, project for a museum, 2026
The funerary stele of Democleides, son of Demetrios, ΔΗΜΟΚΛΕΙΔΗΣ:ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟ, who was probably killed in the Battle of Nemea in 394 BC, is kept at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
In the space below the deceased, originally painted blue to suggest the sea, an empty migrant boat apears. The Mediterranean Sea, “an open-air graveyard”…

Postcards and an engraved polished black granite tablet, kept in its original packaging, 2025, a tribute to Goya's famous etching of the Disasters of War.
The work has been shown at the exhibition Postcards and Mail Art, at the art space Immanence, Paris, in November-December 2025.
This work could very well represent “the artist's final piece”.

La stèle funéraire de Démocléidès, fils de Démétrios, ΔΗΜΟΚΛΕΙΔΗΣ :ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟ, qui fut probablement tué lors de la bataille de Némée en 394 av. JC, est conservée au Musée national archéologique d'Athènes.
Dans l'espace en-dessous du défunt, à l'origine peint en bleu pour suggérer la mer, apparaît un bateau de migrants vide. La Méditerranée, « cimetière à ciel ouvert »…

Essais de projection sur un moulage en plâtre

Des cartes postales et une plaque gravée en granite noir poli, conservée dans son emballage d'origine, 2025, en hommage à la célèbre gravure de Goya des Désastres de la guerre.
L'œuvre a été montrée à l'exposition Cartes postales et mail art, à l'espace d'art Immanence, Paris, en novembre-décembre 2025.
Ce travail pourrait très bien représenter « la dernière œuvre de l'artiste ».

La traversée haletante, déprimante et jouissive de l'histoire du XX^e siècle par Patrik Ourednik, découverte à travers le spectacle de Heiner Goebbels Everything That Happened and Would Happen.
Le livre finit sur la Fin de l'histoire : « …et alors l'histoire n'aurait plus de raison d'être. Mais beaucoup de gens ne connaissaient pas cette théorie et continuaient à faire de l'histoire comme si de rien n'était. »

The book finishes with the End of History: “…a new age in human history, but it would no longer be historical. But lots of people did not know the theory and continued to make history as if nothing had happened.”

ΠΑΝΤΑ ΡΕI

Fragment de plaque de marbre gravée, trouvé en Grèce, et disque de stationnement allemand. Assemblage finalisé durant le premier confinement du Covid, Paris, mars 2020.
« Panta rhei » (Πάντα ῥεῖ / Pánta rheî) est une formule de Héraclite qui, en grec ancien, signifie littéralement « Toutes les choses coulent » (dans le sens de « Tout passe »).

Clear Channel

Photo-trouvaille durant le premier confinement de Covid, lors d'une de mes promenades dans un périmètre d'1 km, place d'Italie, Paris, avril 2020. Le nom de l'entreprise de publicité marqué sur le panneau, « Clear Channel », signifie chaîne en clair, canal inutilisé. En effet.

La version Covid du Cri de Munch, avril 2020. Pendant le confinement, le téléphone portable devenait un des rares liens de communication avec l'extérieur.

Fragment of an engraved marble plate, found in Greece, and a German parking disk. Assemblage finalised during the first Covid lockdown, Paris, March 2020.
“Panta rhei” (Πάντα ῥεῖ / Pánta rheî) is a concept by Heraclitus which means in ancient greek litterally “Everything flows”: everything changes, nothing is permanent.

Clear Channel

Situation discovered during the first Covid lockdown, on one of my walks limited to 1 km, place d'Italie, Paris, April 2020. The name of the publicity company marked on the pannel, “Clear Channel”, is indeed meaningful.

The Scream

A version of Munch's Scream, April 2020. During the lockdown, the cellphone became one of the rare communication links with the outside world.

Une maçonne ou un maçon sur le socle (qui a déjà été rehaussé dans le passé par des rangées de briques) monte des murs de briques autour d'elle/de lui, rangée par rangée, de plus en plus haut, jusqu'à la limite possible, jusqu'à s'emmurer.

Lors de la rénovation d'une chambre dans un vieil appartement à Karlsruhe, Allemagne, un mètre carré du mur a été laissé tel quel, avec les enduits et traces de peinture du 19^e siècle.
Avec la collaboration de Mathias Gautel, Jason Karaïndros et Chiemerie Ogenyi-Benjamin.

« Comme un glissement entre nuages, cartographie et Monet… » , commente l'artiste Régis Sénèque.
