Die Kronenklauer - Les voleurs de couronne
de F.K. Waechter et Bernd Eilert, Diogenes, publié la première fois en 1972 et plusieurs fois réédité

Je pensais à ce livre de mon enfance, profondément anarchique et dans une idée très forte de collectif, de partage de pouvoir et de démocratie, tout à fait d'actualité.
Die Kronenklauer est un merveilleux livre d'enfants de F.K. Waechter et Bernd Eilert, relatant avec beaucoup de fantaisie les aventures de trois gamins, dans un pays imaginaire sous le règne despotique du roi porc, König Schwarte. Très mécontent du gouvernement de ce roi, les enfants décident de lui voler sa couronne, pour la donner à un vieil ami de confiance, le sage hibou D^r Johannes Loy. Après quelque temps ils s'aperçoivent que certaines décisions de ce nouveau roi ne leur conviennent pas non plus. Alors ils volent la couronne une deuxième fois, la font fondre et en fabriquent plein de petites couronnes, une pour chacun !

Die Kronenklauer - The Crown Thieves
by F.K. Waechter and Bernd Eilert, Diogenes, first published in 1972, several reeditions

I thought of this book from my childhood, deeply anarchic and with a strong idea of community, power sharing and democracy, which is very relevant today.
Die Kronenklauer is a wonderful children's book by F.K. Waechter and Bernd Eilert, recounting with great imagination the adventures of three youngsters in an imaginary land under the despotic rule of the pig king, König Schwarte. Very unhappy with this king's government, the children decide to steal his crown and give it to an old trusted friend, the wise owl Dr Johannes Loy. After a while, they realise that they don't approve some of the new king's decisions either. So they steal the crown a second time, melt it down and make lots of little crowns, one for each of them!

Projet télé pour la 6^e Biennale Internationale de Çanakkale Before the Past - After the Future, Turquie, curateurs Deniz Erbaş, Seyhan Boztepe, CABININ.
Avec le soutien de l'Institut Français de Turquie.
Les épisodes sont diffusés sur Çanakkale TON TV et montrés sur écran au studio Mavinil.

Le site archéologique de Troie est près de la ville de Çanakkale. Cette biennale est dédiée à Troie, 2018 étant L'Année de Troie, en référence au 20^e anniversaire de l'inscription du site sur la liste du Patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.

En 1934-35, le dramaturge français Jean Giraudoux écrivit la pièce satirique et pacifiste La guerre de Troie n'aura pas lieu. Il imagina une histoire à partir de l'histoire, et comment les événements auraient pu se dérouler différemment si le courant pacifiste à Troie avait réussi à convaincre la belle Hélène de retourner à Sparte, désamorçant ainsi la situation explosive qui allait mener à la guerre de Troie. La pièce est devenu un grand classique du théâtre mondial. Giraudoux l'a écrit hanté par la mémoire de la catastrophe de la Première Guerre mondiale et sous les ombres menaçants du nationalisme grandissant et des dictatures en Europe et ailleurs, menant finalement au déclenchement de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, quatre ans après la première de la pièce à Paris.
Je me suis imaginé comment l'action de la pièce serait perçue aujourd'hui, si elle se passait ici et maintenant, présentée sous forme de flashes info à la télévision. La chaine locale Çanakkale TON TV et son journaliste Tolga Özdeniz ont accepté le défi.
Un « fake news » artistique pour parler de la réalité.

The archeological site of Troy is near the city of Çanakale. This biennal is dedicated to Troy, 2018 being the Year of Troy, in reference to the 20^th anniversary of the site's addition to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

In 1934-35, the French playwright Jean Giraudoux wrote the satirical and pacifist play The Trojan War Will Not Take Place. He imagined a story about history and how events could have had a different outcome if the pacifist current in Troy had succeeded in convincing the beautiful Helen to go back to Sparta, the explosive situation that led to the Trojan War would have been deflated. The play has become a great classic in world theatre. Giraudoux wrote it when he was haunted by memories of the catastrophy of the First World War and under the menacing shadows of rising nationalism and dictorships in Europe and beyond, finally leading to the outbreak of the Second World War, four years after the play's premiere in Paris.
I imagined how the play's plot would be perceived today, if it were happening right here and now, presented as breaking news on television. The local TV channel Çanakkale TON TV and its journalist Tolga Özdeniz have accepted the challenge.
