This Public Art Triennial aims to promote research and preliminary studies of works (in the form of drawings, models, volumes, photographs, etc.) in relation to the territory.
This exhibition presents the creative process of commissioning artwork in urban space. It brings together the projects of 10 artists selected following a call for applications as well as a choice of studies from the national commission for temporary and reactivable works for public space, of the Centre National des Arts Plastiques (CNAP).
With Pierre-Olivier ARNAUD, Michel BLAZY, Corentin CANESSON, OPJCYGANEK & Julie POULAIN, Isabelle DAËRON, Katrin GATTINGER, Jakob GAUTEL, Charlie HAMISHJEFFERY, Louise HERVÉ & Clovis MAILLET, Chourouk HRIECH, Sévérine HUBARD, Laurent LACOTTE, Anna PRINCIPAUD, Thilleli RAHMOUN, Delphine RENAULT, Stéphane VIGNY, Filipe VILAS-BOAS and Virginie YASSEF.
In very good company and surrounded by other exciting research work and projects, I am showing Tribute to Work. Starting point is the empty plinth on the Place de l’Insurrection d’Août 1944, in the Ivry-Port district. The research was carried out with the valuable help of the Municipal Archives of Ivry-sur-Seine and the team of the Galerie Fernand Léger.
On November 17, 2023, workshop Art in Context, about the approach of participatory art works, with teachers of the Académie de Créteil, coached together with Francesca Maltagliati, coordinator Sylvain Bory, Conseiller arts visuels-photographie, architecture, design.

This artistic Monopoly designed by Michele Horrigan revisits the archives of the EVA International art biennial, Limerick, Ireland, as part of its 40th edition NEVERLOOKBACK (its title is a tribute to the street intervention created with Jason Karaïndros in 1996, curator Guy Tortosa). The inscriptions WHAT’S LEFT? and WHAT’S RIGHT? are a step of the board game.
EVA International - Biennial of Contemporary Art:
We’re delighted to share documentation of Michele Horrigan’s Never Look Back commission GETART, which sees elements of the EVA archive infiltrate and disrupt the format of the popular board game Monopoly. A copy of GETART will be hosted at the EVA Archive & Office.
FRAC Normandie Rouen travelling group exhibition, with works by Gaël Davrinche, Rodolphe Delaunay, Mark Dion, Guillaume Dégé, Jakob Gautel, Fabrice Gygi, Jochen Lempert, Etienne Pressager, Jacques Ramondot and Hugues Reip.
This exhibition is the fourth tour of OPUS, the FRAC Normandie exhibition device in partnership with the Direction des services départementaux de l’Éducation nationale de la Manche and the programme Un établissement / une œuvre. OPUS makes it possible to present, in a light and modular exhibition form, works of the FRAC Normandie collection in spaces that do not have a hanging surface to display them.
